Creating Groups

When you call a group, all members joined to the group hear the call simultaneously.

Three types of groups can be created for Push to talk over cellular;
  • a provisioned group; set up by the service provider or a system administrator
  • an ad hoc group; created by users
  • an ad hoc pro group; combination of the provisioned group and the ad hoc group
Each member is identified by a username that is given by the service provider. Group members can select a nickname for each group and that name is shown as a caller identification.

Groups are registered with a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) address.

A provisioned group is a closed user group and only provisioned users are allowed to join and use the group.

    • Inactive to only save the group in the phone’s memory without activating it.
