  • Download free country maps to your Nokia phone using Nokia Ovi Suite and your computer’s internet connection
  • Use Nokia Ovi Suite to see which maps and voice guidance files you have on your phone and check for updates

What you need to use Ovi Maps in Nokia Ovi Suite

Update your country maps and voice guidance files

To update your country maps and voice guidance files, do the following:

  1. When visible, click the text Updated maps available in the navigation area in Nokia Ovi Suite. The text appears only when there are updated maps or voice guidance files available.
  2. Click the Download updated maps in the content area. The old versions of your country maps and voice guidance files are then deleted. After the deletion, new versions of your maps and voice guidance files are downloaded and transferred to your phone.

Ovi Maps offers a broad range of navigation and travel features:

  • Ovi Maps – find addresses, get Walk and Drive navigation, and save your favourite routes and places to your phone and synchronise them with Ovi Maps on the web
  • Free map updates through Ovi Suite – so your maps are always accurate
  • Travel guides from Lonely Planet and Michelin, local event information as well as weather forecasts for any location*

*Available for selected phone models only

For most Nokia phones these services in Ovi Maps are free. For selected phones you need to buy a licence first. You may also have to pay data charges to retrieve information from the internet.


What you need to use Ovi Maps in Nokia Ovi Suite

  • Your phone needs to have Ovi Maps installed. Run Ovi Maps once to allow Nokia Ovi Suite to connect to your phone
  • A memory card or a phone that has internal mass memory
  • A working internet connection
