Your device has a full keyboard. To open the keyboard, slide the keyboard out. In all applications, the screen rotates automatically from portrait to landscape when you slide the keyboard out.

1. Function key - To insert digits or characters printed at the top of keys, press and hold the function key and press the corresponding key, or press and hold the corresponding key only. To enter only the characters printed at the top of keys, press the function key twice quickly. To return to normal mode, press the function key again.
2. Shift key - To switch between the different character cases, press the Shift key. To enter only uppercase or lowercase letters, press the Shift key twice quickly.
3. Chr key - When writing text, press the Chr key to insert characters not shown on the keyboard.
4. Space key – When writing text, press Space key to insert space between letters.
5. Ctrl key - To access the shortcuts behind the Ctrl key, such as Ctrl + C.
6. Backspace key – To remove text or letters, press Backspace key.

Adjust the settings:

Select Menu > Settings > General > Slide Handling.

• Opening the slide – You can choose which application opens when the slider is opened.
• Closing the slide – You can choose to go to the home screen or keep the application running when closing the slider.
• Audio chng. When opened – You can choose to activate the loudspeaker.
• Audio chng. When closed – You can choose to deactivate the loudspeaker.
• Keyguard activation – You can adjust the setting for keyguard activation when closing the slider.
• #Tones – You can set opening and closing sounds.

Personalise the keys:

1. Select Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Personalisation > One-touch keys
2. Select the key you want to change – your options are: Calendar key and Messaging key.
• You can also restore the default factory settings of the keys by selecting Restore defaults. Choose the action for the key from the list you get selecting then key you want to change.
• With each one of the keys you can define different actions for a short press and a long press. Select Short press to choose an application which opens when you press the key briefly. Select Long press to choose an application which opens when you press the key for a few seconds.
