Stay connected with Contacts


Stay connected to the people around you. With Contacts you can keep your business and personal contacts organised. Save and update contact information such as the phone numbers, home addresses and e-mail addresses of your contact. You can also create contact groups, which allow you to communicate with several contacts at the same time and send contact information to compatible devices.



Add and remove contacts

    • Add a new contact – Select Menu > Contacts > Options > New contact, and enter the details of the contact.
    • Remove contact – Select Menu > Contacts, and scroll to the desired contact. Select Options > Delete.
    • Copy contacts from a memory card – If you have saved contact information on a memory card, you can copy the contact’s details straight from the card. Select Menu > Contacts > Options > Create backup > Memory card to phone.




Quick search and easy dialling

You can start searching for contacts from your home screen just by typing the name. Easy dialling gives you options for actions.

  1. When in the home screen, slider closed, start typing the contact’s name. The device immediately shows you a list of results above the search field.
  2. Choose the desired contact by scrolling to it and click right with the scroll key to get a list of possible actions. Depending on the defined contact details, the actions can be, for example:
    • Voice call
    • Send message
    • Send e-mail
    • Video call
    • Send audio msg.
  3. Select the desired action.



Send and receive a business card

You can send your contacts, together with all the information, to a compatible device as a business card.


Send a business card:
  1. Select and open the desired contact, and select Options > Send business card.
  2. Choose the method you want to use for sending, for example via message, e-mail or Bluetooth. Your device automatically creates the type of message you choose to use. (If you use Bluetooth, you are asked to create a Bluetooth connection with the compatible device.)
  3. Define the recipient / recipients and send the card.

Receive and save a business card:

When you receive a business card, open the message and select Options > Save business card.
    • If you receive a business card via a multimedia message or e-mail, you have to open the business card attachment first.



Adjust settings

Work efficiently with your Contacts by adjusting the settings to be just right for you.


To change the settings, select Options > Settings > Contacts, and choose from the following:

    • Contacts to display – Select the memories from where contacts are displayed.
    • Default saving memory – Select the default memory to save contacts.
    • Name display – Change the way the contacts’ names are displayed.
    • Remote search server – Change the remote contacts database. This option is only available if the remote contacts database is supported by your service provider.
