Bookmark websites for quick access

If you visit certain webpages regularly, you can minimaze your need for navigating through sites by bookmarking the pages on your phone memory. While browsing, select Options > Add bookmark to bookmark the page you are currently on. To view and edit your bookmarks, select Menu > Web > Bookmarks.

Speed up the dialling

Your phone has automatic speed-dialling keys 1 for voice mailbox, 2 for video mailbox and 0 for fast access to Web browser. These services might vary depending for your service provider. For keys 3 to 9 you can assign your own speed-dialling phone numbers. To set numbers on these keys, select Menu > Contacts > Speed dials. Scroll to the speed-dialling number that you want. Select Assign, or if a number has already been assigned to the key, select Options > Change. Select Search and the contact you want to assign. If the Speed dialling function is off, the phone asks whether you want to activate it. Select Menu > Settings > Call > Speed dialling > On or Off. To call a number, press and hold a speed-dialling key until the call begins.

Backup your files

It is good practice to have a backup of your device content in case it is lost, broken or stolen. To back up to a memory card, Menu > Settings > Sync and backup > Data transfer to synchronize and copy data on a compatible computer with Nokia PC-Suite. If you want later to restore the backed up data, select Menu > Settings > Sync and backup > Restore backup.

Digital signature

You can make digital signatures with your phone if your SIM card has a security module. Using the digital signature can be the same as signing your name to a paper bill, contract, or other document, and you can use it in the e-mails. Using digital signature requires entering the PIN code. To make a digital signature, select a link on a page, for example, the title of the book you want to buy and its price. The text to sign, which may include theamount and date, is shown. Check that the header text is Read and that the digital signature icon is shown. To sign the text, read all of the text first, and select Sign. The text may not fit within a single screen. Therefore, make sure to scroll through and read all of the text before signing. Select the user certificate you want to use. Enter the signing PIN. The digital signature icon disappears, and the service may display a confirmation of your purchase.
