GPS light

When your device is trying to establish a GPS connection, the Navigator key's light blinks. When you close an application using GPS connection, the Navigator key's light blinks quickly a few times.

Using A-GPS

Assisted GPS (A-GPS) is used to retrieve assistance data over a packet data connection, which assists in calculating the coordinates of your current location when your device is receiving signals from satellites. Your network operator may charge you for this connection according to your network subscription. Contact your service provider for the correct internet access point and charges related to the service. To enable or disable a positioning method, such as A-GPS, select Menu > Settings > Phone sett. > General > Positioning > Positioning methods, the positioning method, and Enable or Disable.

Save your favourite places in landmarks

You can save the position information of specific locations to your device with landmarks. You can also use these saved landmarks in compatible applications, such as GPS data and Maps and the saved landmarks are available in My places. To access landmarks, select Menu > Landmarks. To create a new landmark, select Options > New landmark. To make the a positioning request for the coordinates of your location, select Current position. To enter the position information manaually, select Enter manually. You can also send one or several landmarks to a compatible device. To send, select Options > Send. Your received landmarks are place in Inbox in Messaging.

Trip meter

Trip meter helps to you to easily calculate the distances between locations. To activate distance calculation, select Menu > Applications > GPS data > Trip distance > Options > Start. To deactivate it, select Options > Stop. The calculated value remains on the display. You can set the trip distance and time and average and maximum speeds to zero, and to start a new calculation, select Reset. To set the odometer and total time to zero, select Restart. Note that the trip meter has limited accuracy, and rounding errors may occur. Accuracy can also be affected by availability and quality of GPS signals.
