Connectivity
Bluetooth unique addresses

When searching for devices, some devices may show only the unique addresses (device addresses). To find the unique address of your phone, enter the code *#2820# in the standby mode.

Searching for devices

If you have searched for devices before, a list of the devices found previously will be shown first. To start a new search, select More devices. If you switch off the phone, the list will be cleared.

Remove pairing while connected

If you are currently connected to a device and then delete pairing with that device, pairing will be removed immediately but the connection will remain active.

Bluetooth disconnection

Bluetooth connections are automatically disconnected after sending or receiving data.

Authorize your PC

You can set a compatible PC as authorized, which means that individual connections between your phone and the PC do not need a separate authorization. Go to the Paired devices view on your phone, scroll to the PC, and select Options. Select Set as authorised.

Use cable for transferring music

When transferring music files between your phone and the PC, it is recommended that you use a USB cable connection (if available). With a USB connection you can transfer large files more quickly than with other connection methods.

Set up a Bluetooth connection

Select Menu > Connect > Bluetooth. Set Bluetooth to On, and allow your device to be found by other devices with Bluetooth technology by selecting My phone's visibility > Shown to all.

Set up an infrared connection

To connect your phone to another device via infrared, ensure that the infrared ports of the devices face each other. Select Menu > Connect. > Infrared to activate the infrared function on your device and then do the same on the other device.

Send text using Bluetooth

To send text using a Bluetooth connection (instead of a text message), go to Notes, write the text, and select Options > Send > Via Bluetooth.

Data synchronization

You can easily transfer data such as your contacts and calendar from a compatible Nokia phone to your new one. To do so, just use the Transfer application from the Tools menu. Bluetooth or infrared must be available on both devices.
