Enjoy music in your device

You can play music in digital format with the music player in your device, and you can easily download music from the Nokia Music Store. Also learn an easy way the transfer music between your computer and mobile phone.

To play music:
  1. Select the Music key (Right selection key).
    • If you have changed the Right selection key action, you can start the player by selecting Menu > Media > Music player or just pressing the Play/pause key on the side of your phone.
  2. The music menu shows the available music. To view all songs, sorted songs or playlists in the music menu, select the desired option.
  3. To return to the standby mode and leave the player playing music in the background, press the End key.

To stop playing, you can use the Play/pause key on the side of your phone or select Pause in your music player view.

Your music player supports digital file formats such as MP3 and AAC.

Nokia Music Store

Your device supports Nokia Music Store downloads. You can download music straight from the Nokia Music Store with your mobile device or you can download Nokia Music software to your computer and manage your music via the computer.

In order to buy and download music from the Music Store, you need to create account for the store.

To get started with music downloads with your mobile phone, select Menu > Gallery > Music files > Music download.

To get started with the Nokia music in your computer, you can download it from http://music.nokia.com.

Transfer music from your computer

You can transfer music to your device from your computer in different ways. To transfer music as data files, make the connection with a compatible USB data cable. You also need to have a compatible memory card inserted in the device.

View your device on a computer as a mass memory device:

  1. Connect a compatible USB data cable.
  2. Select Data storage as the connection mode. A compatible memory card must be inserted in the device.
  3. View the device from the computer file manager as a mass memory device.
  4. Transfer the files.
  5. After transferring the files, select Done to close the connection and remove the USB device safely from your computer.

If the song you have downloaded in your phone does not show in your music library, you may have to refresh the music library. To add all available items to the library, in the Music player main view select Options > Update library.
