Download or update street maps and guidance
Make sure you always have the latest street maps
You can update your street maps and voice guidance using Nokia Ovi Suite or by downloading directly to your device.
Note: If you use a Mac, you need to update from your device as Nokia Ovi Suite is not available for Mac OS.Use Nokia Ovi Suite on your PC
Nokia Ovi Suite checks automatically for street map updates. If there are new street maps available, Nokia Ovi Suite displays the text Updated maps available.
When this message appears, select Download updated maps in the main display area to download new street map data.
To download new street maps using Nokia Ovi Suite:
- Select View > Go to > Maps
- Refine your search by clicking on the continent you’re looking for on the left-hand side of the screen
- Choose your street map and click Download or drag the street map onto the phone’s image at the bottom of the screen
Download directly to your device
If you have the latest version of Maps you can download new street maps directly to your device over a WiFi network. In the Maps application, select Update > Add new maps.
To check for updates to your existing street maps, select Update > Check for updates.
Note: Your device must be connected to a WiFi network to download street maps directly. You can’t download new street maps using your device’s data connection.
