The quickest way to establish an internet connection and start browsing the web is to follow these easy steps. First tap the status menu at the top of the screen and select internet connection. Now either choose Operator Internet to connect via a cellular network, or choose a Wi-Fi access point name from the available list.

When you select Operator Internet for the first time it will ask if you want to enable automatic connectivity over a cellular network. If you answer “yes” then this will be the default connection method the next time you want to browse the web. If you answer “no” then it will automatically connect via an available Wi-Fi access point.

View rich interactive content from across the web via a high-speed 3.5G or Wi-Fi connection. To open the browser, tap and select . Now simply type the name of the site and select , or choose a website from your bookmarks list.

You can open multiple browser windows at the same time and jump from one to another by tapping the screen. After opening one or more browser windows you can then access them directly from your dashboard. Just tap and select the browser window you want to view.

When you're browsing your favourite webpage you can choose to zoom in at any time for an even closer look.

One way to zoom in is to simply double tap a particular area on a page. Another double tap takes you back to the full-screen view.

An alternative way to zoom in is to draw a circle on the screen with your finger in a clockwise direction. Draw a circle in an anticlockwise direction to return to the full-screen view.

You can also use the QWERTY keyboard to zoom in (+ key ) and zoom out (- key).

A fast way to access your favourite webpages is to create shortcuts directly on your desktop. To add a shortcut, first tap and select . When you find a website you like, tap from the toolbar and select Add shortcut to home.

Website shortcuts will appear on your desktops as thumbnail images. You can then access your favourite sites with just one tap.

Access all the different interactive elements on a webpage to enjoy a more authentic internet experience. As you browse a page, slide your finger from the left side of the screen to reveal the cursor. Now you can control the cursor with your finger and view drop-down lists and context menus.

When using the cursor, simply tap the cursor icon shown on the display to activate the manipulation mode. You now have the freedom to copy and paste text and images, or to drag and drop different items.

When you come across an interesting website you can add it to your list of bookmarks. First tap and select to open the browser. After finding a webpage you like, tap and select Add to bookmarks.

View your favourite websites at any time by tapping and selecting a bookmark from your list.

Take a look at your recent browsing history and instantly return to any webpage with a tap of the screen. To access a recently visited webpage, tap while using the Maemo browser and choose the page you want from the selection of thumbnail images.

To access your complete browsing history, tap in the Maemo browser toolbar and select the desired date and address.
