It couldn’t be easier to personalise your Nokia N900. With so many options to choose from, no two Maemo desktops will be the same.

To personalise your desktops, tap the desktop background > > Workspace menu. Now you can do the following:

Create smart contact shortcuts for your desktops that show the availability and status of your friends, family, or colleagues. All it takes is one tap to get in touch.

Place shortcuts to any website directly on your desktops. The next time you want to quickly access a particular site, just tap the active thumbnail.

Get instant access to your favourite applications by creating shortcuts. Choose an application shortcut to add to a desktop and then tap once to open.

You can also switch to a different theme by following these easy steps. Simply select > Settings > Themes.

To view different desktops and access your personalised content, simply flick your finger across the touch-screen display to move smoothly from one desktop to another.
