Plan a route

When you have found a location by using address search or favourites, it’s time to plan your route to the destination according to your interests and transport mode. Your device comes with a 10-day driving navigation licence and lifetime pedestrian navigation.

Add route points

Plan the perfect route to fit your needs. When you have set your destination,

  1. Select from the options: Explore, Walk to, Drive to, Show Detail.
  2. Select Walk to or Drive to. Route point list opens.
  3. Select Add new route point.
  4. Select an option: My position, Places, History, From map, Address or From search.

    • For example, if you select From map, do the following:
  5. Scroll the map to the desired point and press the scroll key to select it. The address is shown and a route point is marked as a red dot.
  6. By selecting the dot, you can edit, move or delete the route point.

When you are planning a route, the application offers you a list of your saved locations by default. This means that it is quick and easy to plan a route to or from these places. Saved locations are also available from the Landmarks application.

Explore – useful and fun

Use the Explore function in Maps to find points of interest for safety, comfortable travelling or just fun. Points of interest include hospitals, police, parking, tourist attractions and a lot more.

For example, if you are looking on the map for a nearby pharmacy, select Explore > Shopping > Pharmacy. Or if you are planning a long Sunday promenade with a spaghetti lunch, select Eat & Drink > Italian . If you select Search all in any list, all points of interest will be listed, with the nearest to your location first.
