Find locations


Sometimes you need to know where you are; sometimes you need to find the way. Learn how to use your maps for basic location finding.


Your position

If the GPS is active, it locates your position directly when you open the Maps application. To view your current or last known location:

  1. Select Options > My position.
  2. When the GPS connection is active, a dot shows your current location on the map.

To zoom in and out on the map, press * and #.To move on the map, drag the map. The map is oriented towards north by default.

Find a location

Maps is intuitive to use: find a location, start planning your trip. There are several options for locating your destination on the map. Start with the address search, save your search results as favourites and collect search history. The more you use your maps, the faster they are to use.

  1. Select Menu > Maps.
  2. Select Options > Address search.
  3. Fill in the full or partial address.
  4. Select Search.
  5. The application may show several matches to your search. Use the scroll key to select one.
  6. Select from the options: Show on map, Explore, Walk to, Drive to, Show Details, Save.
    • If you select Details, you will be shown more detailed information on the location, including coordinates, distance and weather forecast.

Find your way to an address from Contacts

Visiting a friend? Driving to an important meeting? Keep your contacts updated with the address information and find your way easily. And while you are at it, why not check the weather forecast?

  1. Select Menu > Maps.
  2. Select Options > Address search.
  3. Select Options > Search from Contacts.
  4. Search in contacts.
  5. Select Search.

  1. Select a location on the map, and press the scroll key.
  2. Select Show details.
