1. How do I reset my Nokia MediaMaster 120T/C?

Note: you need to perform “First time installation” after reseting the device.

Unplug the power cable. Press the Reset button on the rear panel using a small object, such as the end of an unwound paper clip. Continue holding down the button as you plug the power cable back in. Wait 3 seconds, then release the button.

2. I’m experiencing problems with my Nokia Mediamaster 120T/C. What should I do?

  • Unplug the power cable and plug it back in. Try using your Nokia Mediamaster again.
  • Try reinstalling the device.
  • Plug in your Nokia Mediamaster and the “First-time installation” menu will be displayed.
    • Press OK to continue with the channel search.
    • The menu will be shown as long as the Mediamaster is searching for TV and radio channels. All channels found will be listed on the screen.
      Note: the search procedure may take a few minutes. You can cancel the search at any time by pressing ok.
    • When the search procedure ends, a message will notify you of you how many TV and radio channels have been found.
    • Press OK to start watching digital TV channels.
    • If no TV channels are shown automatically after you have finished the installation procedure, step up and down with the arrow buttons to select another channel.

3. Can I update the software version on my Nokia Mediamaster 120T/C?

4. How do I search for channels?

You can perform the channel search either automatically or manually.

To search for channels automatically, select the "Channel search" menu and highlight "Automatic search." Press the OK button to start the channel search.

To search for channels manually, select the "Channel search" menu and highlight "Manual search." Press the OK button. Select the channel you want to search for. If you want to search for channels on all transponders connected to a specific network, select "Yes" under network search.

  • You need a CA (conditional access) module to watch PayTV. Contact your PayTV dealer.
  • Check that you have the latest software on your device.
  • Reinstall the device.
  • Keep the PayTV channels selected for several hours.
  • If these instructions don’t work, please contact your PayTV card provider.

3. Subtitles are missing. What should I do?

  • Check that you have the latest software on your device.
  • Reinstall the device.
  • Select the correct subtitle language. For the currently selected channel, select the subtitle settings in the Option menu, and for general settings, select the subtitle language from User settings.

4. Does Nokia Mediamaster support the Conax card?

You need a CA (conditional access) Module to use a Conax card.

The device has two slots. One slot is for a CA (conditional access) module and the other is for embedded CA (Conax). Thus, you cannot use a Conax card in both the embedded CA and in the CA module slot at the same time.

  4. You should now see "cuSt" on the front panel display.
  5. Release the buttons.
  6. Wait until you see "pull the cord," then disconnect the power.
