Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite Email


You may have been provided with an email suite based on the Nokia Intellisync protocol. Check with your local service provider for availability. Because Nokia Intellisync may be customized by your service provider, the screen shots below may be slightly different from what appears on your Nokia E63.

To configure your Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite Email:

Set up e-mail

Highlight and select “Set up e-mail” on your home screen using the NaviKey.

Start e-mail setup

Select “Start e-mail setup” from the menu that appears.

Select start

Select “Start” to begin entering the information for your email account.

Allow connection

The setup wizard will need to access the network in order to complete your configuration. Depending on your operator contract, this may involve some data transfer charges. Select “Yes” to allow the wizard to access the network.

Connecting to server

The wizard will take a moment to establish a network connection.

Select Nokia Intellisync

If Nokia Intellisync has been provided by your service provider, it will appear as one of the account types here.

Select Nokia Intellisync

Highlight and select the Intellisyc service.
(The exact name and appearance may vary according to your service provider.)

Install Intellisync

Select “Yes” to install Intellisync.

Select continue

Select “Continue”.

Preparing installation

It will take a moment for Intellisync to install.

Installation complete
Log in

Select “Log in” from the email setup screen.

Allow application to use network

The setup application needs to transfer data over the network in order to continue. Depending on the details of your service provider contract, there may be a fee associated with data transfers. Select “Yes” to allow the data transfer and continue.

Testing network connections

It will take a moment to test your network connection.

Enter user name and password

Please enter the user name and password given to you by your service provider.

Validating

It will take a moment to validate your password and user name.

Intellisync is ready to use

Once your account information has been validated, your Intellisync email is ready to use.

You may previously have hidden the “Set up e-mail” option on the home screen, but there are other ways to access the setup wizard:

E-mail setup

You can find the email setup wizard through the Nokia E63 menu: Menu -> Tools -> Utilities -> E-mail setup

Messaging Mailbox

When you configure a new mailbox in the messaging menu, this also launches the email setup wizard: Menu -> Messaging -> Mailbox

E-mail setup

When you insert a new SIM card, the “E-mail setup” option is available on the settings screen.
