Get familiar with your home screen

From the Home screen you can quickly access the features you use the most, and see at a glance any missed calls or new messages.

You can easily make your phone look and sound like yours by personalising the views in your phone in different ways, changing ringing tones and adding living wallpapers. Adjust the settings to make the use of your phone easy for you.

The Home screen is the view you see in your device display. It is your starting point, where you can collect all your important shortcuts to applications.

Home screen
  1. – Application shortcuts. To access an application, select the application’s shortcut.
  2. – Information area. To check an item displayed in the information area, select the item.
  3. – Notification area. To view the notifications, scroll to a box. A box is only visible if there are items in it.

Define different home screens for business and personal use

You can define two separate Home screens for different purposes, for example for work and free-time. If you don’t have to see business-related messages outside office hours, create one screen to show your personal e-mail, and another to show your business e-mail and notifications.

Define different Home screens for your purposes and use Switch to change between Home screens.

Define your home screens:

  1. Select Menu > Ctrl. Panel > Modes > Current mode, and select the mode you want to personalise.
  2. Personalise the following:
    • Application shortcuts – Define which applications appear in the applications shortcut list.
    • Home screen applications – Select which applications are shown in your Home screen.
    • E-mail notifications – Select which mailbox is shown in your Home screen and preview options.
    • General theme – Select the theme for your mode.
    • Wallpaper – Select the wallpaper for your mode.

To switch between home screens in standby mode, select Switch mode from the application shortcuts.
