Select Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > General > Personalization > Notification lights.

The email mailboxes are added by Set up e-mail wizard or from Email client by selecting New icon.

You can create the Nokia Messaging service account while running the Set up e-mail wizard on the device. Your user name and password for Nokia Messaging service will be the e-mail address and password, which you are entering for the first account in the Set up e-mail wizard.
To solve this go to Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > General > Personalisation > Standby mode > Mode settings > E-mail notifications and select your Primary and Secondary Email.
You can't disable an individual mailbox from automatically synchronising when using Nokia Messaging. If you disable one email synchronising (for example Hotmail) all others will be disable too.
Note: This applies for older built-in email client devices (for example E72, E52, E5-00).
