Nokia Booklet 3G support

Get connected with WLAN

Whenever a suitable wireless network is available, you can connect online using a wireless LAN (WLAN) connection in your Nokia Booklet. Some WLANs are protected, and you need a passcode from the service provider or WLAN owner to connect to them.

A WLAN connection is established when you select an available WLAN (a wireless router or wireless access point) and enter the required passcode, if the network is protected. The active WLAN connection is closed when you close the data connection.

Create a WLAN connection:

  1. Make sure you are in range of an available wireless network.
  2. Open the Network and Sharing Center by selecting the Win7 connection manager icon in the taskbar (bottom right part of the laptop screen).
    • You can also open it by selecting Start menu > Control panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Select Change adapter settings.
  4. Enable the wireless network connection by double-clicking the Wireless Network Connection icon.
  5. When the connection is enabled, select the Wireless Network Connection icon again to view the list of available networks.
  6. Select the desired network from the list > Connect.
  7. If the network is protected, you will be asked to enter the network security key. Enter the key and click OK.
  8. The connection is established and you can open your web browser.
