Get connected with 3G

You can get online from virtually anywhere via a 3G connection. You use a SIM card to create the 3G connection. This connection is a high-speed packet data access (HSPA, also called 3.5G). It is a network service in UMTS networks and provides high-speed data download and upload. For availability and subscription to data connection services, contact your service provider.

Your laptop also supports edge and gprs connections.

Create a 3G connection:

  1. Make sure you have inserted a SIM card in the SIM card slot in your Booklet.
  2. Open the Network and Sharing Center by selecting the Win7 connection manager icon in the taskbar (bottom right part of the laptop screen).
    • You can also open it by selecting Start menu > Control panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Select Change adapter settings > Mobile broadband connection.
  4. Select the name of your mobile service e provider from the list > Connect.
  5. Enter your PIN-code and click Continue.
  6. The connection is established and you can open your web browser.

To disable the active 3G connection, click the connection icon in the bottom row of your desktop, select the active connection from the list > Disconnect.
