  • Is it possible to reset my Windows password if I forget it?

The steps that you should follow will vary, depending on whether your computer is on a domain or a workgroup. Following applies to workgroup computers.

If you forget your password, you can reset it using a password reset disk for your user account (or the password reset information stored on a USB flash drive). If you don't have a password reset disk, you'll need to get someone with an administrator account on the computer to reset your password for you.

If you forget the administrator password and don't have a password reset disk or another administrator account, you won't be able to reset the password. If there are no other user accounts on the computer, you won't be able to log on to Windows and will need to re-install Windows.

For more information about resetting your password check http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/Reset-your-Windows-password.

Establishing a GPS connection may take from a couple of seconds to several minutes. Establishing a GPS connection in a vehicle may take longer. If you are indoors, go outdoors to receive a better signal. If you are outdoors, move to a more open space. Ensure that your hand does not cover the GPS antenna of your device. If the weather conditions are bad, the signal strength may be affected. Some vehicles have tinted (athermic) windows, which may block the satellite signals.
