My own key: Setup and further information
Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-607 features a customizable My own key.
My own key is a shortcut key that you can set to perform different functions on a compatible Nokia device, using the Nokia Accessory Setup Application (ACA).
With the Nokia Accessory Setup Application, when your BH-607 is connected to your device, you can view headset information and define headset settings.
With My own key, you can interact conveniently with your headset – customize to press the key briefly, press and hold, or press twice to perform up to three of the following functions:
Is my device compatible?
My own key personalization is possible with selected Symbian Devices S60 3.1 release onwards.
Symbian S60 5.0 devices generally have the ACA application preinstalled (depending on device software version).
Symbian S60 3.1 and 3.2 devices require installation of a .sis file before using ACA.
If your device does not support the ACA application, the shortcut key can be used to mute the microphone during a call.
Can I use My own key immediately?
If ACA is preinstalled on your device, when you first connect your BH-607, it displays a pop-up asking if you want to use the application. When you confirm, your headset automatically transfers information about supported features and current settings, for instance headset battery level, so they are displayed there. If the ACA application is not already installed in your device, check below for a standalone .sis file to download, or visit ovi.com.
