Find your location and move on the map

To zoom in to your GPS position or your last location:

1. Select Options > My position.
2. When the GPS connection is active, a dot shows your current location on the map.

Zoom into and out of the map by tapping on the + and -. To move on the map, drag the map. The map is oriented towards north by default.

Find the location by address

For the best result, enter the name of the city in the local language. If you are unsure of the name of the location, enter only the first characters of the search word. For best search result, enter at least three characters. If you are looking for an address in another country, enter also the name of the country in the search field: Germany Hamburg.

Find a location by address:

1. Tap on the search field.
2. Enter the full or partial address, in format Country Town City address.
3. Select Search.
4. Tap on the result to see the options, such as Show on map, Add to My places or Add to route, or Send.

Import a location address from Contacts

If you have added address information for your contact, you can import the location to Maps.

1. Select Options > Search.
2. Choose Addresses > Options and Select from Contacts.
3. Select the contact.
4. When viewing the address information, select Options > Search.
