E-mailing

You can handle your e-mail straight from your device. Learn how to set up your e-mail with the e-mail wizard. Also learn how to handle your e-mail messages and attachments.


Set up your e-mail with the e-mail wizard

  1. You can start the e-mail wizard straight from your Home screen.
    • Other way to access the e-mail wizard is to select Menu > Messaging > E-mail.
      The e-mail wizard starts automatically if you haven’t defined the account yet.
  2. Allow the network connection, and continue by selecting Nokia e-mail.
  3. Enter your e-mail address, and select Ok.
  4. Enter your password, and select Ok.
  5. After the wizard has completed, you can adjust the settings. Select Options > Settings.
    • To get the right settings, contact your e-mail service provider for information.


Read and reply to e-mail

    • Read received e-mail – Open it from the mailbox.
    • If you are using a service other than Nokia Email, an e-mail addressed to you is not automatically received by your device. First, connect to your remote mailbox. Select your mailbox > Options > Connect.
    • Reply only to the sender – Select Options > Reply > To sender.
    • Reply to all recipients – Select Options > Reply > To all.
    • Forward an e-mail - select Options > Forward.


Write and send e-mail

  1. Select Options > Create message > E-mail.
  2. Insert the e-mail’s recipient(s).
    • You can enter the e-mail addresses directly in the To field.
    • If you want to import e-mail addresses from Contacts, select Option > Add recipient.
    • Use a semicolon to separate entries.
  3. You can use the Cc field to send a copy to other recipients.
  4. Enter the subject of the e-mail in the Subject field.
  5. Enter your e-mail message in the text area.
  6. Select Options > Send.

Manage attachments

    • Open an attachment – Select Options > Attachments. Scroll to the attachment, and press the scroll key.
    • Attach a file – Select Options > Insert, and the attachment you want to add.
    • Delete an attachment from an e-mail that you are sending – Select the attachment and Options > Remove.
