Transfer the music


You can transfer music files to your device from your computer using your phone as a mass storage device or using Media transfer USB connection mode. When transferring music using Nokia Music application Media transfer connection mode must be selected while connecting the device with computer as otherwise there can be problems with playing WMDRM protected music on your device.
Make the connection between computer and device with a compatible USB data cable. You also need to have a compatible memory card inserted in the device.

View your device on a computer as a mass memory device

A compatible memory card needs to be inserted in the device.

  1. Connect a compatible USB data cable
  2. Select Mass storage as the connection mode. A compatible memory card must be inserted in the device.
  3. View the device from the computer file manager as a mass memory device.
  4. Transfer the files.
  5. Close the connection by removing the USB device safely from your computer.

Load music in the Nokia Music Storage

In the Nokia Music Store (network service) you can search, browse, and purchase music for downloading to your device. When transferring music from Computer to your device using Nokia Music application Media transfer connection mode must be selected while connecting the device with computer. To purchase music, you first need to register for the service. To check the Nokia Music Store availability in your country, see music.ovi.com.

To access the Nokia Music Store, you must have a valid internet access point in your device. To open Nokia Music Store, select Music > Music store.

Connect your stereos with Bluetooth

Use a Bluetooth headset and listen to music wirelessly. You can also make and receive hands free calls.

Start using the headset by first pairing it with your device:

  1. Charge and switch on your headset.
  2. Select Menu > Settings > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth.
  3. Select My phone’s name and enter a name for your phone.
  4. Activate the Bluetooth connections, select Bluetooth > On.
  5. Pair your phone with the headset, scroll to the right select Paired devices > New paired device > Add new device.
  6. Scroll to thefound device, and select Add.
  7. Enter a passcode. (You may find a preset passcode for your headset in the headsets’ own manual.) Allow the connection on the other Bluetooth device.
  8. When the headset is connected to your mobile phone and ready for use, the indicator light of the headset will flash.
