Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 77°F). Extreme temperatures reduce the capacity and life of the battery. A device with a hot or cold battery may temporarily not work. Battery performance is particularly limited in temperatures below freezing.
Do not store the device in hot areas. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices and damage batteries.
Cold areas are not ideal for mobile phones. When the device returns to its normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device and damage electronic circuit boards.
If your device does get wet, remove the battery, and allow the device to dry completely before replacing it.
The device parts are designed to hold together seamlessly, so only open the device as instructed in the user guide to access the battery. Do not short-circuit the battery. Accidental short-circuiting can happen if your spare battery terminals come in contact with a metallic object such as a coin, clip, or pen.
Never use any battery that is damaged.
When the battery reaches the end of its lifetime, dispose of it according to local regulations. Do not throw used batteries into household waste, as in many countries batteries are collected separately for battery recycling. Never dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Always use original Nokia batteries for your safety and to get the best out of battery performance. To check that you are getting an original Nokia battery, purchase it from an authorized Nokia dealer, and inspect the hologram label. Instructions on how to check your battery can be found at http://europe.nokia.com/batterycheck.
