Your Nokia device can be updated with Nokia Software Updater. To get great new features, applications and to learn more, go to www.nokia.com/softwareupdate.
Before updating your software, please note following things:
If you have encrypted your device or memory card, decrypt it before the software update to avoid possible data loss. Note: Decrypting a microSD of 8GB may take up to 1hour 45 minutes. Also decrypt your device and memory card before taking back-up of your data.
If you want to have always latest Mail for Exchange client in your device, you can download it from Download! application in your device. Download! can be found directly from main menu.
Restoring your user data to device after software update will restore the version of Mail for Exchange which you had in your device prior to the update.
Nokia Messaging service is not part of backup - thus you need to re-install it after restore. This can be done easily via email set-up wizard, so just click the set-up email in the Home screen and follow instructions. Step-by-step instructions can also be found in this Support Page under Nokia Messaging section.
