Protect your device
Change the PIN code

The easiest way to protect your phone is to remember to change the PIN code from the factory settings. To change the PIN code, choose Menu > Settings > Security > Access codes > Change PIN code, and give the current PIN-code, give the new PIN-code and confirm it by entering it again.

Lock the memory card

You can set a password (maximum 8 characters) to lock your memory card against unauthorized use. To set the password, select the memorycard folder and Options > Set password. The password is stored in your phone, so you don't have to re-enter it when you are using the memory card on the same phone. If you use the memory card on another device, you will be asked for the password.

Security keyguard

If you want to prevent unauthorized use of your phone, you can use Security keyguard to lock your keypad. A security code (5-10 digits) will be required to unlock the keys.

To set up the Security keyguard, choose Menu > Settings > Phone > Security keyguard > On. Give now the security code and press OK. Verify the code by re-entering it again and pressing OK.

You can deactivate the Security keyguard by choosing Menu > Settings > Phone > Security keyguard > Off, giving the security code and pressing OK.

Use Bluetooth safely

To protect your device against harmful content, select Bluetooth > Off or My phone's visibility > Hidden when you are not using Bluetooth connectivity. Also do not pair with or accept connection requests from an unknown device.
