Personalise your phone



From the home screen, you can quickly access the features you use the most and see any missed calls or new messages at a glance.


You can easily make your phone look and sound like yours by personalising your phone’s views in different ways, changing ringing tones and adding wallpapers. Adjust the settings to make the use of your phone easy for you.


Get familiar with your home screen

The home screen is the view you see in your device display. It is your starting point where you can collect all your important shortcuts and widgets for applications. You can control applications, such as the music player, view your favourite contacts, and view at a glance if you have missed calls or new messages.

Interactive home screen elements

Home screen
    • To open the clock application, tap the clock (1).
    • To open the calendar or change profiles in the home screen, tap the date or the profile name (2).
    • To view or change connectivity settings, to see available wireless LANs if WLAN scanning is enabled, or to view missed events, tap the top-right corner (3).
    • To make a phone call, select (4).
    • To open the main menu, press the menu key (5).

Personalise profile

Your phone has various settings groups called profiles, which you can customise with ringing tones for different events and environments.

Adjust a profile:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > Profiles, choose the desired profile and from the following options:
    • Activate - Activates the selected profile.
    • Personalise - Changes the profile settings.
    • Create new - You can set a profile to be activated for a certain time period.

You can personalise:

    • Ringing tone
    • Ringing type
    • Ringing volume
    • Message alert tone
    • Key tones
    • Vibrating alert
    • Video call tone
    • E-mail alert tone
    • Warning tones
    • Say caller’s name
    • 3-D ringing tone effect
    • Touchscreen vibration
    • Touchscreen tones
    • Alert for
    • Profile name

Change the display theme

You can also personalise your device to suit your mood by changing and setting themes, adding your own wallpaper and selecting an animation for the screensaver.

  1. Select Menu > Settings > Themes.
  2. Choose from the following options:
    • General - The theme used in applications.
    • Wallpaper - The background image for the home screen.
    • Call image - Image displayed during calls.
