Get local weather information

Maps can show you local weather information for a place of interest or an area on the map.

To see current weather information for an area on the map, select Show details using the scroll key or the information area at the top of the screen.

To see current weather information for a named place:

  1. Find a place by selecting Explore using the scroll key or the information area at the top of the screen (see Explore an area).
  2. Scroll down to Today’s weather. Maps shows the weather forecast for today.

    3. If your licence includes detailed weather information, select More weather to see detailed information including forecasts for the next 4 days.

  3. From More weather, select a day to see more detail including weather warnings, details of expected rain or snow, times of sunrise and sunset and the expected temperature throughout the day.

    4. Detailed weather content is part of the Maps 3.0 Premium Bundle, and is covered by the City Explorer licence included in your device. Using the service is free of charge but data charges can apply.
