Having trouble connecting? Make sure that, when the application asks "select internet access point", you choose something with the word web or internet in the name. Access points that say MMS, WAP, or “streaming” may block uploading.
Your mobile operator may charge by the amount of data you transfer or by a flat rate fee per month. Flat rate is usually the cheaper and a better option. Either way, here are some tips to save money and uploading time:
Go to Share Online main Menu, go “Options”, “Add New Account”, then “Update Services”. Application goes online and looks for new service providers. This takes a short while (30 secs). In this case “Share on Ovi” service appears, ready for activation. The list of providers depends on your device and your country.
4. SHARE ON OVI - UPDATING CHANNELS:
To get your new channels you have to update the service. Open the main view in the Share Online Application, select “Options”, “Update services”. The update of the service might take some time. When the update is finished, define your auto-update settings again (manual or automatic feed refresh).
5. SHARE ON OVI - DEFINE DEFAULT CHANNEL FOR ONE CLICK UPLOAD:
Highlight the service you want to use. Select “Options”, then “Set as default”. Select the channel you want to be the default and select “ok”. You get a confirmation that the default service is set
In supported devices, an icon is shown after photo/video capture and clicking on this will send the content to the previously set default channel.
6. TIME SAVING / EFFICIENCY:- While your pictures or video are uploading, push the blue menu key to move the application into the background so you can use your device for text messaging or other phone functions. Just avoid using other web services, like browsing, while uploading.
When posting to your blog, you can skip the last step of Options> Send by just hitting the green call button to send.
