There are 2 ways to connect your Nokia device to your computer when you access Nokia Ovi Suite: USB or Bluetooth.

Connecting with a USB cable

Connecting with a USB cable
A USB cable connection is the fastest way to transfer large amounts of data (such as voice guidance files for Maps) between your Nokia device and your computer.

Your Nokia device is supplied with a USB cable. If you don’t have a USB connection cable for your device, you can find the right cable in the Nokia store.

When you connect the cable and switch on your device, your device asks you which mode you want to use. To synchronise with Nokia Ovi Suite, choose PC Suite.

Connecting with Bluetooth
With a Bluetooth connection you can connect without cables: you can also pair your device and your computer so that they connect whenever they’re in range. To connect wirelessly using Bluetooth:

  • Both your computer and your Nokia device need to be Bluetooth-capable. Find Bluetooth-capable devices
  • Check your computer’s Bluetooth settings to make sure Bluetooth is turned on and your computer is discoverable
  • Make sure your device has Bluetooth turned on and that it is visible to other Bluetooth devices
  • Use your computer to browse for Bluetooth devices and select your device.
  • Enter a passcode when prompted to pair your device and your computer.
  • Use your device to accept any connection requests from your computer

Now your device and computer are connected, you’re ready to install Nokia Ovi Suite and start synchronising information.
