Before you can retrieve content to your device, you must have a backup file of the data you want to restore. Click the Restore button to restore a backup file. Note: a cable connection is the most convenient choice for transferring many files, or if the files are very large.
Now the application shows you a list of the available backup files. Select the file you want to retrieve onto the connected device. If the backup file you want to transfer is stored in another location, click the Browse button to search for it.
If you want to search for all the backup files stored on the computer, click Scan your PC for backup files. When you have selected the desired file, click Next.
Select the content types you want to transfer from the selected backup file. Note that some device models do not support all content types. Click Next to start transferring the files. During the transfer, a progress indicator helps you keep track of the process.
When the transfer is complete, the contents retrieved to the device are shown. A yellow triangle indicates that certain files were not restored, e.g. due to limited free memory in the device. To view more information on the completed transfer, click View the report. Some device models need to be rebooted after the transfer process is complete.
