Every track visible in Nokia Music has details associated with it, such as its name, the album it was released on, the genre it belongs to, its audio format, duration, and size. For tracks on audio CDs and connected mobile devices, you can view but not edit these details. For tracks in your PC music collection, you can view these details and edit some of them, either in the My Collection view or using the detail editor.
To view or edit the details of a track, right-click the track, and select Edit track details.
To view or edit the details of a complete album, right-click the album, and select Edit album details.
If you select multiple tracks for editing, you can select which details to edit for the tracks in the Summary tab. Select the check box next to the detail field you want to change. When you change the contents of the field, that information is changed for all the selected tracks. You can only change information that is common to all the selected tracks this way.
You can also change the details of a track or a selection of tracks by dragging it onto another track. You are asked to confirm the operation before any changes are made.
Dragging a single track onto a group of tracks or an album only updates those details on the dragged track where all relevant fields within the target tracks contain the same information.
You can edit track or album details in any category of the My Collection area. For example, to edit or change an artist name, select Artists in the My Collection area, and slowly double-click the artist name. When you edit or change the artist name, the name is changed in the details of all the tracks by that artist.
