Burn a CD

If you have joined the Comes With Music service, see also Digital Rights Management (DRM) and licences for more information.

With Nokia Music, you can burn tracks to blank CDs. The selected tracks are written in Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA) format, which allows them to be played on a compatible music CD player.

You can only burn tracks from the PC music collection to a blank CD. You cannot burn tracks directly from the music collection of your mobile device, from Nokia Music Store, or from another audio CD. If you want to burn tracks from these locations, transfer them to the PC music collection and then burn them to a blank CD.

To create a burn list

  1. Drag and drop tracks, albums or playlists to the CD icon in the My Devices area, or right-click the items and select Add to burn list.
  2. To view the burn list, click the CD icon in the My Devices area.

To remove a track from the burn list, right-click the track, and select Remove from burn list.

You can move tracks within the list by dragging and dropping.

To burn a CD

  1. Insert a blank CD into the CD drive of your PC.
  2. To start the burn, click Burn CD.
  3. When the burn operation is complete, click Eject to eject the CD.

You can modify the burn settings to eject the CD automatically when the burn is complete. Select Menu > Edit > Options > Burn tab

If the size of your burn list exceeds the capacity of the CD, you can continue to burn the tracks in the list by inserting another blank CD. The tracks that have already been burned are removed from the burn list.

To stop the burn, select Cancel. Depending on the phase of the burn process at cancellation, the resulting CD may be unusable.
