Navigation area Menu and Account area My Devices My Collection My Playlist Player Queue Current Downloads

1. Navigation area

Depending on your mood you can listen to your own music collection in the My Music tab or discover the latest hits or old classics in Nokia Music Store* under the Store tab.

Searching My Music allows you to quickly find a track you want to listen to from your own music collection.

Searching in the Store is really simple because it always tries to find a relevant match even if your spelling is incorrect.

*Nokia Music Store may not yet be available in your location

2. Menu and Account area

The Menu gives you access to all the main functions and settings in Nokia Music.

Members of Nokia Music can access their account information from this area. If you have not yet joined, click 'Join now' to begin.

The application controls let you minimise, maximise and close Nokia Music as well as let you switch to 'Mini Mode', which turns Nokia Music into a small discreet music player.

3. My Devices

This area lets you view the music collection on your compatible PC (note that Apple Macs are not yet supported), compatible mobile devices and the contents of audio CDs.

You can listen to tracks from your compatible mobile device by simply selecting it in My Devices and finding the track you want.

Just drag and drop a track from one device to another to start a transfer or rip, or to add tracks to the burn list.

4. My Collection

When you select your PC, your compatible mobile device, or an audio CD in My Devices, the My Collection area updates to show the music available there.

It’s easy to find the track or album you want as you can sort your collection in whatever way suits you best: by artist, album, genre or a list of all tracks. You can also view your collection with or without the album artwork.

Listening to music couldn’t be easier. Simply double-click on a track or drag it to the Queue.

5. My Playlists

This area allows you to create a playlist to suit your mood. There are also a number of automatically created playlists such as Most Played and Recently Added. You can change the number of tracks displayed for an auto playlist by right-clicking on its header and choosing an amount under Display Count.

6. Player

This area shows the currently playing track and has all the controls you’ll need for playing tracks. You can get instant recommendations from Nokia Music Store whenever you play a track, or by clicking on the blue vertical Recommended bar.

7. Queue

This is a list of tracks queued up ready to play. As you move through the list you can see what you’ve already listened to, what is currently playing and what’s up next. Roll over the track to see the artist and, if available, the album artwork too. You can drag and drop tracks anywhere in the list to create your own listening experience. Simply clear the list to start again or save it to My Playlists to listen to it time after time.

8. Current Downloads

The download progress of tracks purchased from Nokia Music Store can be seen in this area. Downloaded tracks are automatically added to your PC music collection. Look under Purchased Music in the My Account menu to re-download any of the tracks you have previously purchased.

If you want to transfer newly-purchased tracks to other devices, look at the Recently Added auto playlist in My Playlists.
