Nokia E72

Why are there no middleware costs and no extra licensing fees?

Your Microsoft® Exchange server already includes all the capabilities you need to mobilise your email, contacts, and to-do lists, including instant delivery to your mobile device. No additional server hardware is needed. Just enable the ActiveSync protocol and you can use the existing gateway that you have to route data. For more information on how to enable ActiveSync, visit http://technet.microsoft.com and search for 'configure and manage mobile device access on the exchange server'. An additional license fee is not required since you already have a Microsoft® Exchange mailbox license. Activating Mail for Exchange on Nokia devices is truly cost efficient for you and your business.

Which Nokia devices can I activate Mail for Exchange on?

Nokia offers you a range of over 50 different models of devices which are compatible with Mail for Exchange, and has shipped over 120 million devices all over the world. Our portfolio comprises a broad range of feature rich mobile devices at different price points, tailored for businesses and designed for the different ways people work. This means you can mobilise not just your senior level managers but also various tiers within your organisation at a budget that is optimal for you. How secure is Mail for Exchange?

Your Microsoft® Exchange administrator can include Mail for Exchange users in the existing Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy user group. Security settings defined in the Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policy are enforced for Mail for Exchange users through the ActiveSync connection and they cannot be disabled by the user. Mail for Exchange supports various levels of security settings to protect the information on the device from theft or loss. Among these functions are automatic device locking and wiping of the device memory after a specified number of wrong password attempts. Furthermore, Nokia Eseries devices offer a wide range of security features such as device encryption and integrated mobile VPN for secure and reliable access to company intranets. Security applications from 3rd party developers provide solutions for anti-virus, personal firewall, data security and authentication needs.
