Did you know...
If you key in an incorrect PIN code several times, the phone may display PIN code blocked and will then ask you to key in the PUK code. Contact your service provider to get the PUK code.
You may need to...
... contact your service provider to get some of the access codes.

To adjust the security settings of your Nokia 8910i, press Menu, select Settings and Security settings.

Select:
  • PIN code request to set the phone to ask for your PIN (Personal Identification Number) code every time the phone is switched on. The PIN and PIN2 codes protect your SIM card against unauthorized use. The codes are usually supplied with the SIM card. Some SIM cards do not allow the PIN code request to be turned off.
  • Call barring service (network service) to restrict incoming calls to and outgoing calls from your phone. You can obtain the barring password from your service provider.
  • Fixed dialing to restrict your outgoing calls to selected phone numbers if this function is supported by your SIM card. The PIN2 code is required. It may be supplied with the SIM card.
  • Closed user group. Closed user group is a network service that specifies a group of people whom you can call and who can call you. For more information, contact your network operator or service provider.
  • Security level. Select Phone and the phone will ask for the security code whenever a new SIM card is inserted into the phone. Select Memory and the phone will ask for the security code whenever you want to select the phone’s internal memory or to copy from one memory to another. Note that the selected memory has to be the SIM card memory.
  • Change of access codes and you can change the security code, the PIN code, the PIN2 code or the barring password. Codes can only include numbers from 0 to 9. Note that you should avoid using access codes similar to emergency numbers, such as 112, to prevent accidental dialing of an emergency number.
