Note: If you do not want to use AT commands, you must
have Nokia Modem Options installed before you can use
your phone as a modem.
These instructions assume that you already have the Bluetooth
Software for your Socket card installed. For information
on how to do this, please see you Socket card user documentation.
To install the Bluetooth .inf files:
In your Control Panel on your PC, go to Phone
and Modem Options in Windows 2000 and XP. In Windows
98 and ME, go to Modems.
You should now Add a new modem. For information
on how to do this in your Operating System, please
see the Windows help files.
When you see the option Don’t detect my
modem; I will select from list, select this option
When you see the option Have disk, click this button
and then browse to the location where you saved the
Bluetooth modem .inf file. Then select the name of
you modem from the list (Nokia 8910i (Bluetooth))
When your PC asks you to select which COM port
you want to select the modem on, you should select
the COM port that has the DUN profile (Dial-Up
Networking) associated with it from the list.
To check which COM port this is, go toStart
> Settings > Control Panel
> Bluetooth configuration tool and
check which Digianswer Virtual COM port has a check
mark in the Dial-Up Networking profile box.
A digital signature will open, click Yes
to accept it.
Your Nokia 8910i should now be installed as a Bluetooth
Modem.
