Troubleshooting

You can use your Nokia 8910i as a modem for your PC. This means that you can access the Internet, your company's intranet or servers, or your own e-mail while you are on the move.

You can use your Nokia 8910i as a modem either with an infrared (IrDA) or Bluetooth connection.

To run the software you need a PC running

  • An Intel compatible PC equipped with Windows 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP
  • Either an infrared port on your computer or a Bluetooth-enabled PC with the appropriate software

If your PC is running Windows 2000 and you want to use an infrared connection, make sure that you have upgraded it with the IrCOMM patch. Without the IrCOMM patch installed, you will not be able to make data calls with your PC using your Nokia 8910i phone. Updates for Windows are available from the Microsoft Download Center>>.
