Connecting Your Phone to a PC

Data transfer between your Nokia 7600 phone and a PC is possible provided your phone is connected to the PC.

You can connect your Nokia 7600 phone to a compatible PC using infrared (IR) technology, Bluetooth technology, or the USB cable (DKU-2) supplied with your phone - depending on which connection types were selected during the installation of PC Suite.

Once your Nokia 7600 phone is connected to the PC, the connection is created automatically and data transfer can commence between your phone and the PC. If there is more than one phone within range or if you want to change the connection type, please see the documentation provided with the Nokia PC Suite to follow the instructions for the connection type that you want to use.

NOTE:
When connecting via infrared, there must be no obstructions between the two devices. The IR ports of the two devices must point at each other. The preferable distance between the two devices is one meter at most.

When connecting via Bluetooth, the two devices must be within a 10 meter radius of each other.

Do not switch off your phone while the cable is connected.

Make sure that there is sufficient power in the phone's battery before connecting the phone to the PC.

Making or answering phone calls during a PC connection is not recommended as it might disrupt the operation.

For better performance during data calls, place the phone on a stationary surface with the keypad facing downward. Do not move the phone or hold it in your hand during a data call.
