Selecting the GPRS Connection Mode

To select the GPRS connection mode:

1. Press Menu in standby mode, and select Connectivity, GPRS and GPRS connection.
   
   
2. Select Always online or When needed.
• If you select Always online, the phone automatically registers to a GPRS network when you switch the phone on. The phone remains registered to the GPRS network even when you do not use it.
  
  When Always online is selected and the GPRS service is available, is shown on the display.


• If you select When needed, the phone registers to the GPRS network only when you access a service, for example a WAP site, over GPRS connection. The phone does not remain registered to the GPRS network after the connection.
  
  If you select When needed, establishing a GPRS connection may take longer than when Always online is selected.
