Using the Voice Key

The voice key is located above the volume keys on the side of the phone.

This key can be used for voice recording, voice dialing and voice commands.

To use the voice key for voice dialing, see Voice Dialing and Recording a Voice Tag. Note that these functions can be used only in standby mode.

To carry out a voice recording, for example, record a name and phone number and write them down later:
  • Press the voice key on your Nokia 7600 phone to start voice recording.
  • Clearly say the words you want to record. When recording, hold the phone in the normal position near to your ear.
  • To stop the recording, press the voice key.
  • The recording is saved in the Recordings folder of the Gallery menu.
Voice recording can also be used during a call - simply press Options and select Record. While recording a call, all parties to the call hear a faint beep approximately every five seconds.
