With your phone you can use EGPRS (Enhanced GPRS), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), HSCSD (High Speed Circuit Switched Data) and CSD (Circuit Switched Data) services.

EGPRS
EGPRS (Enhanced GPRS) is a network service that allows mobile phones to send and receive data over an Internet Protocol (IP) at up to three times the speed of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). The applications that may use EGPRS are:

  • MMS
  • Instant Messaging
  • Browsing sessions
  • E-mail
  • Remote SyncML (i.e. devices, applications and networks can communicate together)
  • Java application downloading (for a wider range of tools and content)
  • PC dial-up (e.g. Internet and e-mail)

Note!
Before using EGPRS technology, you must contact your service provider or network operator to determine the availability of data services. You must also save the EGPRS settings for each of the applications used over EGPRS.
