Sending and Receiving Data via IR

IR Connection Indicator
Infrared

You can set up the phone to receive data through its infrared (IR) port.

To use an IR connection, the device with which you want to establish a connection must be IrDA compliant.

Via the IR port of your phone, you can transfer data from compatible phone or data device (for example, a laptop computer) to another. This data includes such items as business cards and calendar notes.

How far apart can the devices be when transferring data via infrared?

The preferable distance between the two devices in an infrared connection is one meter at most.
Note
Do not point the IR (infrared) beam at anyone's eyes or allow it to interfere with other IR devices. This device is a Class 1 Laser product.
