- Press Menu and select Settings, Chat and my presence settings and Active chat and presence settings.
- Scroll to the set you would like to activate and press Activate.
You need to activate the connection set where you want to save the settings. A connection set is a collection of settings required to make a connection to the chat and presence services.
- Select Edit active chat and presence settings.
Select each of the settings one by one and key in all the required settings according to the information you have received from your network operator or service provider.
Note that the connection settings are in the Connection settings menu.

To configure the Chat and Presence settings, you need some specific information about the connections. To get this, contact your network operator or service provider, for example through their web pages. The settings you have for services (WAP settings) may not necessarily be the same settings you need for Chat and Presence.
