Business cards

You can send and receive a person's contact information as a business card either via IR or as an Over-The-Air (OTA) message if supported by the network.

Receiving a Business Card

If using an infrared connection, your phone must be ready to receive data through its IR port (see tip box at right), before the other person can send the business card.

When you have received a business card via IR or as an OTA message, press Show. Press Options and select Save to save the business card in the phone's memory.

Sending a Business Card

  • You can send a business card via IR or as an OTA message to a compatible phone or other handheld device that supports the vCard standard.
  • Select the name and phone number you want to send from the phone book, press Details and Options and select Send bus. card.
  • To send the business card via IR, make sure that the other phone or PC is set up to receive data via its IR port and select Via infrared.
  • To send the business card as an OTA message, select Via text message.

Sending business cards OTA is a network service. Contact your service provider for more information.
