Forwarding a message
To forward a message you don't have to open it. Just scroll to the desired message on the inbox list, press Options and select Forward.

Distribution lists
You can create distribution lists for sending text and picture messages to several recipients at a time. Note that you may be charged separately for each recipient of a message to a distribution list.
Press Menu in standby mode, and select Messages, Text messages and Distribution lists.

Small or large fonts?
To select the font size for viewing text and multimedia messages, press Menu in standby mode, and select Messages, Message settings, Other settings, and Font size. You can select either small or large fonts.

When in a hurry, use templates
Text message templates are a practical way of making text messaging quicker - whenever you are late, for example. Just select Text messages, Templates and pick a suitable one.

Overwriting settings
When the text message memory becomes full, the phone cannot receive new messages. However, you can set the phone to automatically replace old messages with new ones.

Press Menu in standby mode, and select Messages, Message settings, Text messages and Overwriting in sent items or Overwriting in inbox. Select Allowed to set the phone to replace the old text messages with new ones in the Sent items or Inbox folder, respectively.

Chat
Chat is a fast way to have a conversation using text messages. Each chat message is sent as a separate text message. The messages received and sent during a chat are not saved.

  1. To start a chat, press Menu in standby mode and select Messages and Chat.
    Key in or search the phone book for the phone number of the person with whom you want to chat, and press OK.
    Another way to start a chat: While reading a text message, press Options and select Chat.
  2. Key in your nickname for the chat and press OK.
  3. Write your message and press Send to send it.
  4. The reply message from the other person is shown above the message you sent. To reply to the message, press OK and repeat step 3.
  5. To end the chat, press Options and select Quit in the editor screen.
    During a chat, you can press Options and select Chat history to view the most recent messages of the current chat, or select Chat name to edit your nickname.
