You can take standard photos, portrait photos, photos in night mode, or record video clips with sound.

Which image formats does the Nokia 6650 phone support?
The Nokia 6650 phone produces JPEG pictures. The phone also supports GIF89a, GIF87a, PNG and WBMP formats.

Which video format does the Nokia 6650 phone support?
The video clip is based on 3GPP standard H.263 profile 0 level 10 video codec and the audio is AMR (encoding and decoding). The Nokia 6650 phone can also decode MPEG4 SVP level 0 video. The file format is 3gp. The video clip resolution is subQCIF (128x96).

Is there a built-in flash in the camera?
No, however you can use the night mode for low-light conditions, when the camera needs a long exposure time to capture a good quality picture.

Can I transfer images from my computer to my phone?
The Nokia Image Converter in the PC Suite allows you to transfer images to your phone for use in multimedia messages, as contact images or as wallpaper. The Nokia Image Converter also provides a wide variety of tools for editing your pictures and adding special effects to them before transferring the image to your phone.

What's the maximum length of a recorded video clip?
If you want to record video clips that will fit in to a multimedia message, you can use the default length of the video clip, i.e. 15 seconds or 100 kb, which ever comes first.
If you want to record longer video clips, you can choose the maximum length. Then the length depends on the phone's memory capacity. You can transfer these clips to a compatible PC and then send via email.

How many video clips can be stored on the Nokia 6650 phone?
As many as the 7 MB memory allows. Theoretically, the Nokia 6650 phone can hold 24 VGA-resolution images, 100 phone book images (80 x 96), 260 seconds of recorded speech, and three 15-second video clips. Since the user memory is dynamic, if you use less memory for one application, the extra memory is freed up for use elsewhere.

Why do I need the multimedia player?
With Nokia Multimedia Player you can play MIDIs, sounds, images, videos and multimedia messages on your PC. You can also create playlists of your favorite multimedia files.

Which formats does the Multimedia Player support?
There are several file formats that you can view with Nokia Multimedia Player. For exact information of the supported formats, see the players menu: View > Options > Formats tab. The formats may vary according to what applications you have on your PC, for example what versions of other media player type applications.
