2. Can you purchase a digital
camera and use it with this phone, like with the Nokia
9210?
Transferring digital images from the camera directly
to a Nokia 6610 is not possible. Images from a digital
camera can be transferred through a PC to the Club
Nokia Photo Zone, and from there sent as an MMS message
and used as wallpaper.
Series 40 UI is optimized for small phones with color
displays, taking traditional Nokia ease-of-use to new
heights. The new Nokia 6610 is our first phone that has
the Series 40 User Interface.
6. How does the Series 40 User Interface
differ from other Nokia phone UIs?
It is the first small phone with a large color display
with higher resolution than the Nokia Series 30 User Interface,
but smaller in size than the Series 60. Series 40 is the
optimal UI platform for smaller, stylish, service-enabled
phones.
7. Which sound formats does the
Nokia 6610 support?
The supported sound formats are polyphonic (MIDI) and
scalable polyphonic (SP-MIDI) ringing tones, and the traditional
Nokia ringing tones (monophonic tones).
Polyphonic MIDI ringing tones offer users a new, high-quality
sound experience. MIDI sounds and traditional ringing
tones can be used as personal ringing tones and SMS alert
tones. The MIDI sounds support the sounds of 43 instruments,
of which 4 instruments can be played simultaneously. New
sounds can be received over MMS, downloaded from Club
Nokia via WAP, or from the Internet with Nokia PC Suite 5.0 .
In addition, the phone supports Scalable Polyphony MIDI
(SP-MIDI), which provides the ability to play scalable
content and enables exciting polyphonic tones to be introduced
to the masses. With SP-MIDI, users can also upgrade their
phones without having to buy a new range of content.
