The instructions below provide information on creating either a
GSM data or GPRS connection in Windows 2000.
- Go to My Computer > Control Panel > Network
and Dial-up networking > Make new connection.
- In the first window, choose either Dial-up to Internet
or Dial-up to private network.
- In the second window, select a device from the list (Nokia
6230 cable, Bluetooth or infrared).
- In the third window, enter the phone number of your Internet
Service Provider. It is easier to uncheck the box Use dialing
rules and then add the whole number (international code +
area code + phone number) into the Phone number box.
- In the fourth window, select whether you want to create the
connection Only for yourself or For all users.
- Depending on which options you choose in step 2, you may need
to go through other steps, such as setting up mail accounts.
